ONTARIO REGIONAL COUNCIL
TO BE HELD IN MARCH 2022

Date of event: March 9 – 10, 2022
In December we were thrilled to announce the in person meeting of the Ontario Regional Council in March 2022. Since then, we have seen an alarming amount of new COVID-19 cases in Ontario, due to the extremely contagious Omicron variant.
We truly wish that we could have met in person as planned, but with the health and safety of our members and staff top of mind, we have decided to go virtual!
The move online will provide delegates access on an interactive platform to engage in discussion and debate on the challenges that we face and create an action plan for 2022. Please continue to register your delegation through our online registration system. Username, Password and Entitlement information for your local has been sent via email. If you encounter difficulty logging on, please contact registration@unifor.org for assistance.
All locals are encouraged to consider equity representation (Women, Aboriginal and Workers of Colour, Workers with disAbilities, LGBTQ and Young Workers 35 and under) as part of their delegation. As part of our ongoing commitment to equity we are requesting that locals utilize the special delegate entitlement allotted under the ORC Bylaws.
More information on a new tentative agenda, what to expect from a virtual platform and how information will be communicated to you and your delegates will be sent out in the coming days.
We are still looking forward to seeing you virtually!
In solidarity,
Naureen Rizvi Shinade Allder
